This laser engraver is amazing for beginners! It's super easy to use and gives great results so far and I'm quite the beginner! I love how it can engrave on wood and leather with super close precision. The big engraving area gives you lots of space to work with, so you can create all sorts of cool designs.This engraver is really beginner friendly so even if you've never used a laser engraving machine before, you'll be able to figure it out quickly. I mean I did and I'm super noob when it comes to things like this. This engraver really makes sure your engravings come out crisp and clear every time.It also comes with software that's simple to use and lets you customize your designs however you want. You can upload your own images and fonts to create and customize your very own art work. I'm really impressed with this laser engraver and I think it's perfect for anyone who wants to get started in creating some really cool stuff! I highly recommend it!

New to the hobby and this was super easy to start with. I had a few large laser brands to choose from and ultimately went with the aufero2. Main reason was the large amount of instructional videos available from other wood engravers. I used the same settings on light burn per instructions and the outcome was superb, even better than I expected. Christmas presents will be easy this year with personalized engraved photos for everyone.

I really like this Aufero 5W Laser Engraver. I am a bit newer to laser engraving but have used a few over the years. This is a great option for beginners or those looking for a more budget friendly option. This is an excellent value at the price point. It is easy to assemble, the instructions are available via a scannable QR code. Overall it is easy to get set up, taking about 30 minutes or so. It works great on wood, cardboard, leathers - we've been using it quite a bit.

I am new to laser engravers and this one is perfect for beginners!!!!! I opened it up and build it in about 10-15min, installed the programs in my computer and used it the next day and even started making images so quickly that I was so suprised with myself because I didn’t think I was going to be able to master this laser engraver that quickly! Very nice and powerful laser engraver and would highly recommend!

Very easy to set up. It gives you the option of sing USB or CAT5 cable to your computer. We’re using an Apple desktop so we got the Lightburn software. This machine has plenty of instructional videos on YouTube. The laser module can be changed, and this company offers a couple other laser heads plus other options to make your machine more functional after you get a bit of experience.It does not come with a laser bed, and that’s not a must have, but it’s a good thing to have to protect your work surface. This would be a perfect gift for a teen / young adult.. better than endless hours playing video games with nothing to show for your time. You can make things and list them on Etsy… make Christmas and Birthday gifts. We really like this engraver. Easy to use…. Very mild learning curve. Literally anyone can learn how to use this. Highly recommended.

This is a great value laser cutter/engraver. Is it the same as one that runs double? Not quite but it’s not as far off as one would think. It is great for beginners as it didn’t take me too long to be up and running. I’ve got some previous experience so that definitely helped a lot. I’m thrilled at how well it works and while it isn’t perfect, none of them are. This laser is super easy to use and is great for beginners to learn how to use a laser engraver cutter. When first opening the box, it may seem a little daunting looking at all the parts to assemble but it is extremely easy to do following the provided instructions. Once assembled, follow the instructions to calibrate the machine and then begin a try out run using a pre created design or a sag designed on your own. I use light burn and this laser runs perfectly. I tested the laser using 1/8” basswood and had zero problems. Highly recommend this laser engraver cutter if your just starting out and don’t want to spend a fortune.

If you've spent more than 5 minutes with laser engraving machines, you've no doubt heard of the benefits of "air assist". "Air assist" blows air down through the laser nozzle while you're using your laser engraver. It does this to "blow away" the smoke caused by the laser engraving / cutting process, which means there is less interference for the laser to operate correctly (smoke partially blocks the beam and makes the machine less efficient). It also helps cool the laser optics, which can increase accuracy. A laser engraver with air assist will work faster and cut more cleanly than one without.Most of the time, if you want to add "air assist", you have to go seeking lots of parts, starting with a special nozzle for your laser, if it will accept one at all. Often, the upgrade path to "air assist" requires you to buy a whole new laser head.But not here. It's mentioned nowhere in the description (Aufero should put this in there), but the Aufero 2 long focus machine comes WITH an air-assist nozzle ready to install on the laser. I wasn't aware of this when I ordered it, and had reached out to Aufero to inquire about adding an air-assist nozzle. They promptly responded to me in less than 12 hours to inform me that it's already in there, all I need to do is install it.Fantastic! Not only is the machine ready to be upgraded without any difficulty at all, but Aufero actually responds to questions quickly and politely. So not only does the machine get top marks for its great build quality and the fact it comes ready to upgrade to air-assist if you want to go that route, but Aufero gets top marks for their prompt response and attention to customer service.There are a lot of laser engravers on the market to choose from and it can be hard to wade through the mire. This one seems so far to be a great machine (I've only just begun to use it), and the company seems like one you can do business with and not regret it. 5 stars.

Despite being a novice, I already feel the potential for countless projects. However, additional purchases such as an enclosure, exhaust fan, and air assist assembly may be necessary. Fortunately, there's ample support available through YouTube and Facebook groups. It's essential to acknowledge the learning curve; this isn't a plug-and-play solution for starting a business. Yet, with patience, this engraving machine opens up endless creative possibilities, effortlessly handling various patterns and thin wood cutting tasks.

I got this to laser engrave my pottery. I am able to burn my makers mark into the bottom of my pots but more importantly, I use this to laser cut through underglaze and can etch designs into it before i fire. This is really awesome as it allows me to get a great amount of detail into my work and it looks GREAT!I absolutely love this laser, highly recommended

Had it set up and working in a little over an hour. I wish it was a little larger, but there is a upgrade where you can. I've used it for a few days and It's fun finding different things I can engrave. I've made several metal identification plates for parts and drawers. super durable and will last forever. Pretty handy I wish I had bought one sooner.
